What We Offer Through Our Lifespan Education Program
We provide children, youth, young adults, and adults an opportunity to explore, reflect, and learn in a nurturing spiritual community. Unitarian Universalist religious education programs offer all ages, inspiring:
- Ethical growth – internalizing enduring values like justice, equity, and compassion, and gaining tools to act on them in everyday life.
- Social growth – connecting with peers and people of all ages on a deeper level. Finding acceptance among people who see beyond the superficial.
- Spiritual growth – feeling a connection with the sacred within, among, and beyond us.
Currently we are a congregation with only a few children and youth. We provide classes for children from ages 3-11 each Sunday when children are present. These classes are held at the same time as our morning assembly. We encourage youth to join us in morning assembly.
While we have a nursery, we do not have anyone who staffs the nursery. Babies and toddlers are welcome in our morning assembly. We also have live streaming of the Morning Assembly available in the nursery area. Hopefully, as more children attend, we will be able to staff the nursery.
Youth in Middle School and High School are welcome in Adult Forum. Many of those programs are suitable for those age groups and their input into discussion is welcomed. This program is held from 10:00-11:00.
We offer opportunities throughout the year for adults to deepen their ethical and spiritual growth when lay volunteers volunteer to facilitate one of many UUA created seminars, workshops and classes.
